Greenport is a very small coastal village (i.e. on the ocean, a bay, or inlet) located in the state of New York. With a population of 2,561 people and two associated neighborhoods, Greenport is the 520th largest community in New York. Much of the housing stock in Greenport was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic villages in the country.
